2013 General Chair

I am immensely honored and privileged to accept this position as Chair of the 54th annual Pacific Oil Conference taking place at the JW Marriott, L.A. LIVE on September 3-5, 2013.  This year, we will proudly join forces and partner with Shell Oil Company as our Showcase Sponsor.  I thank you for your continued support and generosity.

We are excited about our new venue for the conference, L.A. LIVE - “the most entertaining place on the planet!”  L.A. LIVE is the sports and entertainment district that surrounds STAPLES Center and Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE.  I have strongly supported our Board’s decision to move venues to allow for further growth and opportunities for both the vendors and attendees.

The start of the conference on Tuesday will be a day full of workshops.  In the evening, you are all invited to the General’s Chair’s reception, followed by bowling at the Lucky Strike L.A. LIVE.  It is upscale bowling at its finest with 18 bowling lanes, billiards tables, private party rooms, plasma TVs, a full-service bar and an electronic arts show; we will definitely have an event to remember!

On Wednesday, we will start the day with golf at the Dwight D. Eisenhower course “The Ike” - part of the Industry Hills Golf Club.  This course has been home to many TV shows including HBO’s “Entourage”, NBC’s “Las Vegas”, and TV commercials for Adidas, Dr. Pepper, Holiday Inn, Nike, and Pinnacle Golf.  It has also been home to many U.S. Open Qualifying tournaments as well as LPGA tour events.  In 2012, The ESPY Celebrity Golf Classic was played on this course.  In addition to golf, there will be many options for seminars and workshops for those of you interested in attending.  The Trade Show starts that afternoon and will provide the opportunity to visit all of our vendors in the industry who will share new marking, equipment, and ideas to suit your needs.  Later that evening you won't want to miss out on a great chance to meet new people or connect with old friends at our Networking Dinner.

Thursday will start with the Prayer Breakfast and an exceptional speaker to keep you motivated and challenged.  The Trade Show and workshops in the afternoon will give you the opportunity to continue business with the vendors.
